Dear Families,
If your child needs a photo retake, please mark your calendars for Wednesday, November 5, 2025.
To have their photo retaken, students must return their original picture package to the school on or before retake day. This is required for the retake to be processed.
Important Reminders:
Retakes are only available for students who return their original photos or students who were absent on picture day.
Please ensure your child brings the complete photo package back to school.
If no background is selected, the photo will be taken on the most generic background.
Payments for photo packages can be made via cash, check, or money order payable to Donner Photographic, Inc.
If you choose to have a sibling photo taken, please complete and submit form.

Dear Davis Families,
I want to take a moment to address the recent threat made against our school, which was deemed not credible. I am incredibly proud of our Davis staff and students for their calm and composed response during this situation.
I also want to extend my heartfelt thanks to our Davis parents for your patience, compassion, and understanding as our team worked through this situation. Your support means so much to us.
Please know that New Haven Public Schools takes threats very seriously. The responsible party has been identified, and appropriate disciplinary action is being taken in accordance with the Unified Code of Conduct.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, I invite you to join us for the PTA meeting on October 8th at 5:30 PM at Davis. Your involvement and support are greatly appreciated.

Meet the Teacher Night at Davis - September 17th

You only need to attend one session per child

Today, your child is bringing home a Book Buddy Lanyard letting you know about a safe and easy way for our school to raise funds for essential tools our students and teachers need to succeed.
The SchoolStore Program is 100% online so there is NO face-to-face selling, handling money, or delivering products. Your participation will take less than 12 minutes, and there are exciting prizes to make it fun for the students.
Here is all you need to do to participate:

2. Send form emails inviting family, friends and co-workers to support your child.
3. Return the Book Buddy Lanyard with the Student Prize Code to school for your child to get their fun participation prize.
Be sure to ask your child for the Book Buddy Lanyard tonight. Your participation will make a difference for our school and teachers!

Please remember that Davis is a nut/peanut free school. Do not send any food products containing nuts or peanuts to school with your child, also please do not send any candy or gum with your child.
Please remember that NO MEDICATION SHOULD BE BROUGHT TO SCHOOL WITH YOUR CHILD. If your child requires medication at school the proper medical order from a doctor must be obtained and medication needs to be brought in by parent/guardian to the nurse directly in an unopened container with a label from the pharmacy. If you have any questions regarding this, please call the nurse directly at 475-220-7814.

The teachers and staff at Davis Academy are thrilled to welcome everyone for the new school year! For K - 8 students, doors will open at 9:00 AM tomorrow, August 28th. Please ensure that all students are in uniform and that their backpacks are labeled with their names. The first day for PreK is September 2nd.
Unless you provide the school with a note indicating otherwise, all students will be placed on their designated bus. If you have specific pickup information, feel free to call us at 475-220-7804 before 3:00 PM tomorrow. We look forward to a fantastic year ahead!
